A former digital marketer and a fintech expert want to transform the debt collection business, an industry with a rather mixed reputation. Why are technology nerds choosing this particular industry?

Over 30% of adult Poles say they have missed payments and been contacted by debt collection agencies in the last 12 months (21.3% once, and 9.7% multiple times). The most common reason for late payments is simple: forgetting to make a payment.

Most people have a negative association with debt collection. PAIR Finance is out to change that. The technology company is using artificial intelligence to do so and is already successfully leading the industry in nine European countries, with customers such as online fashion retailer Zalando. Today, PAIR Finance is announcing its market entry in Central and Eastern Europe with the launch in Poland, marking its tenth market.
