1 – State your personal motivation for the position in your CV.
If you apply to PAIR Finance, you do not have to write a motivation letter in addition to your CV. It is all the better if your CV briefly explains why you are applying for the position in question. Judith Gröchenig, Team Lead Talent Acquisition at PAIR Finance, explains: “In the best case scenario, you can recognise at first glance in the CV what experience and motivation someone has. One or two short sentences are enough. Generic phrases such as “I find the fast-growing environment in which the company operates exciting” should be avoided, however, and an individual reason should be given instead. A sentence like this is better, for example: “PAIR Finance is the right job for me because I want to contribute my knowledge of B2B sales to an innovative and disruptive company.”
2 – Inform yourself in advance about the AI of PAIR Finance.
If you prepare for the interview, it always comes across well. This includes, for example, informing yourself about the company. PAIR Finance has been working with modern artificial intelligence since the beginning and is constantly developing it further. Here are a few reading tips on this and on current topics relating to PAIR Finance:
3 – Highlight your strengths.
Of course, the previous career stages and academic background in your CV already reveal many details about your strengths, but it is worth focussing on the qualities that show why you are very well suited for a position. It is sufficient to list 4-5 key points, e.g. a large network in a particular industry or years of experience in a specialised field. “Applicants can use the CV to emphasise their strengths and show us why they are particularly well suited to the open position. Language skills in particular should be realistically assessed and stated,” says Judith Gröchenig. Today, in January 2024, PAIR Finance is already active in six European markets (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and France) and has a growing team of more than 250 employees. In addition to the headquarters in Berlin, there are also offices in Amsterdam, Vienna and Zurich.
4 – Pay attention to formalities.
If you directly state the job title of the job advertisement in the heading of your CV, you show the talent acquisition team that you have familiarised yourself with the job advertisement and know what you are applying for. It is also a must that you use correct spelling and grammar in your application. You can also score points if you write your CV in the same language as the job advertisement. This will ensure that your application documents can be quickly reviewed not only by the talent acquisition team, but also by your potential new colleagues in the department. Incidentally, an application photo is not a must at PAIR Finance, as your skills and wealth of experience are much more important.
5 – Ask questions.
If your application documents are convincing, you will be invited to an initial interview. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during this interview and throughout the rest of the process. You should use this opportunity to clarify important conditions and signal genuine interest. If you already have precise ideas in advance regarding the general conditions of working at PAIR Finance, such as part-time work or remote working, you are welcome to mention these directly in your CV.

PAIR Finance receives the “Kununu Top Company” award for the second time in 3 years (2022 and 2024). Every year, the employer rating platform Kununu honours the best employers in Germany with the Top Company Award. Only around five per cent of all employer profiles qualify for the seal.
All companies that carry the Top Company seal must have at least seven employee reviews, a score of at least 3.8 stars and at least two new reviews in the last twelve months since their profile was created. In addition, the employee rating score must be at least 3.8 stars in the past twelve months.
