PAIR Finance once again sets an example against child poverty in favour of conscious consumption

Giving Tuesday 2023 - PAIR Finance - Die Arche

PAIR Finance is committed to Giving Tuesday, setting an example against child poverty and in favour of conscious consumption around Black Friday. On 28 November 2023, the fintech from Berlin will donate EUR 10,000 to the children’s foundation “Die Arche”, which works to improve the living conditions of financially disadvantaged children and families in Germany.

The day of giving

Giving Tuesday is the international day of giving and takes place this year on Tuesday 28 November 2023. #GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 to encourage people to do good. It has since grown into a movement in over 90 countries to raise awareness of overconsumption on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Every year on the Tuesday after Cyber Monday, charitable organisations and companies around the world call on people to get involved and donate money to social causes. The children’s and youth charity “Die Arche” has been one of the best-known German organisations calling for donations on Giving Tuesday for three years in a row.

PAIR Finance is a sponsor of the Arche’s Giving Tuesday campaign

PAIR Finance is sponsoring the Ark’s Giving Tuesday campaign this year, which anyone can take part in on 28 November 2023 via the official campaign page. The donation target this year is 210,000 euros. The donations collected will benefit children and families in poverty and will be doubled by the donations of the sponsors.

“Our participation in Giving Tuesday is a conscious statement against overconsumption and in favour of sustainable consumption. We are delighted to once again support the Arche’s important work with children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds with our donation.”

PAIR Finance is actively involved for the third year in a row

PAIR Finance has been supporting Arche Berlin for several years now: financially, with donations in form of goods and on site. This year, the employees at the head office in Berlin are once again packing food parcels and Christmas presents for children to enable them and their families to spend the festive season without financial worries.

At Easter 2023, the Arche and PAIR Finance also organised the first joint “Social Day“. Social Days give children a whole day of fun and games and are a highlight in their everyday lives. Further joint activities are being planned.

4.5 million children affected by poverty

“In Germany, up to 4.5 million children are affected by poverty. These children need our support and help. After all, poverty marginalises and is almost always a cycle that children cannot escape without outside help. This is the only way they will manage to become an independent and valuable part of our society later on.”

Bernd Siggelkow, Founder and Director of the Arche

The Arche offers children in its centres a free, wholesome, hot meal every day, homework assistance, meaningful free-time activities with sport, games and music and, above all, attention.

Join in and do good

On Giving Tuesday, you can follow live on the Arche website how many donations have already been collected and when the donation target of 210,000 euros will be reached. The more people take part, the sooner this target can be reached.
