We have contacted you because a company has commissioned us to take over the debt collection process in your matter. A debt collection process consists of up to four steps:
1. out-of-court dunning procedure
2. judicial dunning procedure
3. post-court proceedings / if necessary including compulsory enforcement
4. monitoring
The fewer steps initiated, the better for all parties involved. That is why we aim for an out-of-court solution.
You have not paid a debt on the agreed date and have not responded to the reminder from the company that commissioned us. As the creditor, the company is entitled to compensation and this also includes costs incurred in the debt collection process. You therefore not only have to pay the outstanding amount, but also additional costs, e.g. the costs of hiring a debt collection service provider or court costs.
It is indeed possible that your claim will be sold to another company and your original contractual partner will no longer take care of it. Such a process is common and has no negative consequences for you.
Even if you cannot recognise or do not know the company that is listed as the principal or creditor, this does not mean that the claim does not exist. If in doubt, always check the other details in the payment request to you. Here you will find a lot of information that should enable you to allocate the claim. Otherwise, our Customer Support Team will also be happy to help you clarify the matter if you can't get any further on your own.
