Fintech PAIR Finance, which specializes in AI-based debt collection and receivables management, is strengthening its legal department. As of July 1, Daniela Gaub will take over the newly created position of "Senior Legal Counsel." The fully qualified lawyer was previously head of the legal department at Bundesverband Deutscher Inkasso-Unternehmen e.V. (BDIU). At PAIR Finance, she will be responsible for the areas of debt collection and data protection law.

Berlin-based FinTech PAIR Finance said it presented the first study on a new customer typology for the digital age. At the technology company, the future of debt collection has been emerging around AI, behavioral research and data science since 2016, the company said.

With its first study of an expanded debtor typology, startup Pair Finance believes it is better equipped than ever to do the job. Led by behavioral scientist Minou Ghaffari, who works for Pair Finance, the company, which is majority owned by Finleap, evaluated 400,000 individual cases, expanding existing typologies.

The Berlin-based FinTech PAIR Finance takes care of the debt collection of well-known companies, especially those active in the digital sector. These include e-commerce heavyweight Zalando. Since customers expect a particularly sensitive approach online, PAIR Finance uses artificial intelligence to address each customer (debtor) individually.

Until now, little was known about the underlying personality types of the digital consumer with late payments and how to proceed most successfully to ensure out-of-court repayment. In response to this unanswered question, Pair Finance, fintech for AI-based debt collection and management, presents a study on a new customer typology for the digital age.

PAIR Finance is "one of the first service providers" to work with AI throughout. In addition, the company is part of the Finleap Group. BavariaDirekt is testing Pair Finance's AI-based debt collection. The service provider relies on a self-learning algorithm that typologizes customers and, based on this, selects a suitable approach and offers individual solutions. The aim is to collect receivables more quickly without destroying customer relationships.

The company, which belongs to the Versicherungskammer Bayern group, is now piloting the Pair Finance solution. With this, BavariaDirekt wants to expand its competencies as a digital insurer. Policyholders can use it to manage outstanding receivables on their smartphones. For example, they can create individual installment payment plans via the personalized home page.

This is probably how defaulting customers of direct insurer Bavaria Direkt will be prompted to pay off their debts in the future.
